This time of the year always brings back early mornings driving to the deer camp when all of the sudden “Da Thirty Point Buck” song comes on the radio. It seems at this time of the year the song tends to get quite a bit of airplay. Ever wonder who sings the song?

Da Yoopers is a traveling comedy show and musical group from Ishpeming, Michigan. They are known primarily for their humorous songs and skits, most of which center on life in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The band’s name includes the term “Yooper,” slang for residents of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, and the use of “da” instead of “the” is typical of the Yooper dialect. Da Yoopers has released twelve regular albums and two compilations, all on their personal label, You Guys Records. The group’s members are Jim Bellmore, Lynn Bellmore, and Jim “Hoolie” DeCaire. They are most well-known for the song “Da Thirty Point Buck” off of the album “Bananas at Large.” Check out their website here for any up and coming news.

Offered from our buddies over at GR Auto Gallery, they are pleased to offer this restored, 1973 Chevrolet K20 4X4 Cheyenne Camper Special for consideration. The Camper Special packages came only of C/K 20 or 30 Series pick-ups. The Camper Special packages were geared specifically for people who had adventure in mind and make sure they were properly equipped for all situations.

The truck offered here came from California. 1973 was the first year of the very popular “Square body.” The truck has all new suspension. It is powered by its believed to be original 350 v8 paired with an automatic transmission. Highlights include a 14 bolt rear end, rhino-lined bed, 4 fuel tanks, new dash and fresh seat and new rubber seals, brand new STA Super Lug 9-00 16 36″ tires, sliding rear window, power brakes, power steering, air conditioning and jack. The truck shows and handles very well.

Classic Chevy trucks are on the top of the food chain when comes to vintage trucks. Their classic styling and proven reliability keep them popular and useful vehicles among collectors and vintage enthusiasts.
