When it comes to lifted trucks, most people talk about their suspension lift, tires, shocks, or some custom feature that’s unique to their truck.  You might hear something like, “My new Cognito suspension lift performs great” or “Those fox shocks are legit.”  Not to mention all the people who are loyal to their brand of tire.  Some people love Toyo, others love BFG, while others will only buy Super Swampers.  This left us asking: What about wheels?  Yeah, someone might say “nice wheels,” but it’s pretty rare someone can spot 20″ XD Rockstars without being a foot away from the wheel.  It’s also pretty rare that a lifted truck owner is only loyal to one brand of wheel. Why is this?

Our guess is that with wheels, it comes down to style.  Yes, quality matters, but wheels are the one thing you can change every so often to give your lifted truck a whole new look.  You can’t do that with tires, you can’t really do it with shocks, and it’s too expensive to do with a suspension lift.  So if you want your truck to stand out, you need to find a unique set of wheels.  Below are a few wheels that we like.  We’ve included a few at different price points, because not everyone with a big truck has a big wallet!

Fuel Offroad October Arrivals

October arrivals are here. The Fuel Anza and Coupler wheels are now available. The Anza, which was released October 8th, in a 17×8.5 inch with a 4.5 inch and 5 inch back spacing for lifted applications. The Anza is available in Fuel’s signature two tone finishes; matte black with an anthracite simulated beadlock, and anthracite with a matte black simulated beadlock. Additional sizes will be available early 2014.

The Fuel Coupler, released October 16th, is available in a 20×10 inch with a 4.5 inch and 5 inch backspacing for lifted applications. The Coupler is available in matte black & machined with a dark tinted clear coat, another finish unique to Fuel Offroad.

Black Rhino Launches 14 Wheels for Lifted Trucks

Lifted truck and off-road enthusiasts are a dedicated subculture geared to conquering any obstacle in their path. Whether it’s bombing a big hill or simply building the most stylish truck in your city, there is no limit to what lifed truck owners will do. So it is no surprise that big truck owners demand wheels that are big, bad and add some swagger to their vehicles. Each spoke is visually connected to the outer rim with a prominent, heavy-duty hex bolt, and the outer rim itself is studded with an array of hex bolts. The Moab model is available in Gloss Black with a machine-cut lip, and Matte Black, either a perfect complement to the look of your stock or lifted truck, off-road vehicle or SUV.

KMC Wheels launches XD Series Rockstar II

KMC Wheels has introduced the XD Series Rockstar II, an exciting new style from the company that brought customers one of the most inventive wheels in the aftermarket business. The KMC XD Series Rockstar II features design cues that echo the design of its namesake Rockstar original, with angled spokes that radiate from a floating center emblazoned with an iconic star. Innovative bolt-on accent pieces allow customers to customize their wheels by choosing stand-off spokes that give a flush appearance to the face, or removing them for a reversed, deep-dish style.

“The original Rockstar was about coming up with something different and the Rockstar II continues that tradition,” said Rhett Sander, marketing director for Wheel Pros, which owns the KMC XD Series brand. “We wanted something nobody had ever seen before and we achieved it with the Rockstar II.” The wheel is being offered in sizes that range from 17-inches to 24-inches in diameter, and is expected to be popular among owners of stock and lifted trucks and SUVs. But, as with the original Rockstar, the style suits a wide range of vehicle applications.

Since its introduction in 2006, the Rockstar has become a style icon in the aftermarket industry, recognized by name for its star shape on the center. KMC continues to push the design envelope with the Rockstar II. “Most people couldn’t tell you the names of any other wheel styles, but everyone knows what a Rockstar is,” said Sander. The Rockstar II is being introduced in a satin black finish, with satin black accent pieces and is available under the style number XD811. It is expected that many new owners will elect to further customize their wheels at home by introducing color to the accent pieces.

New Fuel Trophy Wheels

The Fuel “Trophy” is the newest design from Fuel Offroad, which features a simulated bead-lock design with exposed lugs in sizes 17″x8.5″, 18″x10″, and 20″x9″.  Fuel’s newest finishing process features a state of the art masking process that gives the Trophy the look of a removable bead-lock, but it is in fact a one piece wheel.  The Trophy is available in matte black with an anthracite simulated bead-lock and matte anthracite with a matte black simulated bead-lock.  For off-road enthusiasts, the 17″x8.5″ Trophy is also offered in our forged “Race Series” with a true bead-lock.   Available with a 4.5″ back spacing,  the forged Race Series Trophy is custom finished and drilled to any bolt pattern.  Fuel’s Race Series Trophy is intended for off-road use only.  The wheels will run you approximately $1,000 or $250 each.

As many of you know, two-piece or three-piece wheels are known for being more durable and balanced. NEW Fuel Trophy on Ford Raptor

Did you see this video of the brand new 20″ Fuel Trophy wheels on a Ford Raptor? The style highlighted is the Matte Anthracite face with a Matte Black simulated bead-lock. These wheels kill it and look super aggressive on the Raptor. That light rack in the bed of the truck is absolutely hideous, so it’s a good thing this truck has the Fuel Trophy wheels! Good looking wheels can compensate for ugly accessories most of the time. We’re impressed with the continued innovation we’re seeing from Fuel. Keep up the good work.
