Ever jumped in a truck & it instantly takes you “back?”
To a time? To a place? That day when you couldn’t believe you were driving this “unique,” “one of a kind” custom truck?
You could use that right? Here it is. It don’t get no better than this! Low miles mind you. This lifted, awesome build, will “fit the bill!”
In a joint announcement from Las Vegas and El Cajon, CA, Casey Folks, director of Best In The Desert, and Brian Godfrey, FOX Marketing Manager, Off Road Division, announced FOX will become the presenting sponsor of one of Best In The Desert’s most revered off-road events in North America. This legendary race will now be named The General Tire “Vegas to Reno” Presented by FOX.
“Casey and his dedicated team have been putting on the very best offroad races for years now. It makes only sense for us to align ourselves with them. Did you hear the news that Fox Factory Holdings, the owner of Fox Shox, is planning an initial public offering (IPO)? That’s right, the company is planning to trade on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol FOXF. So what does this mean for the everyday customer of Fox? Not much. The company will likely still function the same way, although you never know how the company might sacrifice long-term quality for short-term earnings. Let’s hope that doesn’t happen.
This isn’t the first “truck product” company to go public. Companies like Cooper Tire, Goodyear, Toyo and others. That being said, very few other lifted truck product accessory companies with a niche focus like Fox are public. This IPO should allow Fox to raise money and expand into new markets or new products. Are you a fan of Fox Shox? Would you invest in the company? Why or why not?
FOX Racing Shox has a deep heritage in off road racing and they wanted to share some of that with us during the Outdoor Demo. From huge bypass shocks on their Baja trucks to the much smaller RP23 air shocks on our bikes, FOX is about racing and developing products that stand up to those rigors. Aaron Larocque and I had the pleasure of traveling from Las Vegas, NV to Sandy Valley, CA to experience first hand what it is like to drive a desert racing buggy. The buggies were all equipped with FOX Racing shocks and ready for action.
SoCal Says: It’s no surprise the Fox Racing Shox impressed and held up to the challenge. Fox continues to put out a stellar product which is always on the cutting edge. We highly recommend these shocks on your vehicle.
Armin Schwarz and Martin Christensen powered their way past the entire field to take a commanding first overall at the SCORE San Felipe 250. Known for the extreme roughness, the San Felipe 250 race features some of the most treacherous suspension killing terrain in any off-road racing course.
