SEMA 2010 – What Did You Miss?
The Super Bowl, World Series, Stanley Cup, March Madness, X-Games, Wimbledon, The Masters…and SEMA. What do all of these events have in common? Each event is the pinnacle of their industry and the “don’t want to miss” occasion of the year. For those of you who are unfamiliar with SEMA, it is the largest car and truck show of the year. It’s held in Las Vegas, Nevada and is a great experience in many ways. The 2010 SEMA show was no different.

the world (PLEASE NOTE: THE SHOW IS NOT OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC). It draws the industry’s brightest minds and hottest products to one place, the Las Vegas Convention Center. The displays are segmented into 12 sections, and a New Products Showcase featured nearly 1,500 newly introduced parts, tools and components. In addition, the SEMA Show provides attendees with educational seminars, product demonstrations, special events, networking opportunities and more.”
SoCalTrucks.com has been fortunate enough to attend the past couple of SEMA shows as Press and Media. We have seen and talked to many of the professionals in the industry and have got to experience some of the new products coming out first hand. There is no shortage of insane trucks on display and we had our cameras in full force snapping as many pictures as possible. We were blown away by the magnitude of the event this year. We were more excited to see so many big trucks, SUV’s, and Jeeps. One of the highlights of the show was the K & N Hummer with tank tracks instead of wheels and tires.

The lifted truck industry is continuing to grow. Companies are spending lots of money and resources to provide the lifted truck enthusiast with many options and innovative products to keep their trucks, jeeps, and SUV’s original and multi-functional. SEMA will once again leave it’s mark on Las Vegas in November of 2011. You may not win Super Bowl or World Series tickets, but you do have a chance to be apart of SEMA next year. Don’t miss out!
Here are some highlights from this year’s event:
Highlight #1 of 8 – this beast is ready for the desert
- Highlight #2 of 8 – We always love to see Cognito trucks at SEMA.
Why? Their classy, creative, and the guys love to talk lifted trucks.
