NHTSA to Investigate Ford EcoBoost Acceleration Issues
According to a recent LA Times article, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has received 95 complaints related to acceleration issues in the 2011-2013 Ford F-150 with EcoBoost. This will effect approximately 400,000 trucks, which is about 20% of the Ford F-150s sold during this time period. The loss of power occurs “during hard accelerations at highway speeds, such as attempted merging or passing maneuvers,” according to the agency. There is no official recall, but if you a 2011-2013 F-150 with EcoBoost and have been experiencing these type of symptoms, know you are not alone.
