Lifted Trucks in the Middle East

If you thought big trucks were only in SoCal or California or the U.S. or North America, you are wrong. We recently came across this truck, built by Aref Hijji. He lives in Qatar, a country in the middle east with about 2 million people. You may have heard their name because they will be hosting the World Cup in 2022.
He built this lifted GMC in Doha, which sits on the beach of the Gulf of Oman. Everything was imported from the United States, including the 8″ Rough Country lift, 2″ body lift, and 46″ Mickey Thompson tires. This is probably the only lifted vehicle in Qatar, so we give Aref a lot of praise for being unique.
In fact, his lifted GMC is so unique he was recently featured in a local newspaper comic:
SOCAL SAYS: Any lifted truck that gets in the local comic strip is pretty legit. It’s about time the U.S. exported something to the middle east and we are proud that it’s a big lifted GMC. It would be great if Aref had a Fabtech or CST suspension lift with KMC, Toyos, and Fox shocks, but the fact that he has a big vehicle at all is amazing. Aref, thanks for representing SoCalTrucks style in Qatar. Will someone in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, or Saudi Arabia follow his lead? Let’s hope so.
