Joe Sylvester to Attempt World-Record Truck Jump
Joe Sylvester Motorsports will attempt a world-record monster truck jump this year in the Bad Habit machine, which uses one-of-a-kind XD Series Rockstar wheels. Joe Sylvester, owner/operator of the Bad Habit monster truck in the Monster Jam series, is the newly crowned Young Guns World Champion. He has an impressive 55 race wins, 12 final round victories, and an outstanding 62 total freestyle wins within seven years of monster truck competition.
Sylvester will make his official Guinness World Record attempt for the longest jump in a monster truck on Labor Day Weekend. He set the record previously by flying his 10,000-lb monster truck 208-ft, but Gravedigger has since assumed the mantle by adding six feet to the length. Sylvester’s attempt is set to take place on Sept. 1 at the Cornfield 500 in Columbus, Penn., and the driver is eyeing a target of 300 feet. Do you think he’ll make it? Why?
