Banks Cleaning Up

Banks Power is sponsoring the Calico Cleanup, an effort to clear out the trash left in the California high desert. Banks, LA Land Cruiser Association, TTORA, and Trail Crew are teaming up in order to encourage off-road enthusiasts to participate in the clean up.

“Those of us that appreciate the beauty of the California desert are frustrated by the trash left by irresponsible parties,” said Alan Draper, employee at Gale Banks Engineering.

“By supporting this event, Banks is demonstrating that they truly care about the environment that their customers enjoy.” The Calico Cleanup will be held on February 16-18, 2007 just north of Barstow, CA. There will be food, restrooms, raffle prizes, and t-shirts.

Socal says: Banks, way to put your money where your mouth is. We heard there will be over $5,000 in prizes, so you guys must be serious about this. Not to mention that there will be a free barbeque lunch. Thanks for supporting the environment and we hope this will encourage others to pick up their trash when at the desert.
