Another Ford Screw-Up: Recall of 1.1 million Trucks
Ford agreed to recall 1.1 million trucks because metal under the fuel tank may detach due to rusting, causing a potential fire hazard. Ford does not believe the condition poses a risk to safety and the majority of recalls are in states where road salt is typically intense. The Ford trucks being recalled include the 1997-2003 F150, 2004 Heritage F150, and 1997-1999 F250.
SOCAL SAYS: If you have a Ford from the Northeast and Midwest in these years, contact Ford. This is the second recall in a few months, as Ford recently recalled trucks due to a switch issue. We hope this is the last of Ford recalls for a while, but if you have a lifted Ford, keep your eyes wide open.
