Are Lifted Trucks Legal in the UK?

We recently came across this question on Yahoo: “Are Lifted Trucks Legal in the UK?” Any guesses? The answer is yes (according to readers). So if the answer is yes, why don’t we hear more about them? Well, apparently they are more expensive to insure, harder to navigate on narrow UK roads, and require government inspection to insure “road readiness.”

That being said, UK lifted trucks exist and lifted trucks are popular in other European countries, including Iceland. Check out 4x4offroads.com where they feature tons of trucks from around Europe. It’s a much different scene than SoCalTrucks.com, but we love to see big trucks in Europe. The big question is: when will more lifted trucks surface in China? China has a huge amount of land and a growing middle class, so we’d expect more to show up in the future.
