Golden to race Arenacross in 2012
19 year old California native Vicki Golden will compete in Arenacross in 2012. Starting in January, in a first for the sport of Arenacross, Golden has been added to the lineup of the most successful team in arena racing history: Babbitt’s Kawasaki. In doing so, she will become the first woman to compete in the AMA Arenacross Lites class.
Female racers generally have limited options as far as racing in the Winter, and Arenacross (a smaller tighter version of motocross) paves an Avenue for females to compete in the Winter. Golden will be making history, and will hopefully leave her mark in the arena.
Golden won the X Games gold medal this past summer in Arenacross which makes her a threat for this upcoming season.
SoCal Says: Congrats to Vicki and her team for making history. We wish her the best of luck in the upcoming season.
