Toyota Unveils Prices for 2012 Tacoma
If you are the sort that really likes compact pickups, your choices are getting very slim here in the States. Ford and GM have both discontinued their compact trucks here in the US leaving one of the only choices being the Toyota Tacoma. The Tacoma has a redesigned body and interior this year giving the truck a fresh look. Toyota has unveiled the pricing for the 2012 Tacoma truck across all the models in the range.
The 2012 Tacoma will come in three cab types with the regular cab, the Access Cab (extended cab), and a four door Double Cab model. The base prices for the redesigned Tacoma will start at $16,875 for a regular cab 4×2 with a 2.7L 4-cylinder and a five speed manual transmission. On the high-end of the range, the Double Cab 4×4 long bed truck with a 4L V6 and a 5-speed auto transmission will go for $27,835.
All of the prices will have an extra $180 bucks added for shipping. The prices represent and increase from previous models of up to $645 depending on the model. The refreshed trucks will be arriving at dealer lots this month from the plants in San Antonio and Baja California, Mexico. It’s worth noting that GM may being a compact truck that is sold globally to the US eventually.
SoCal Says: We have always been huge fans of the Toyota Tacoma. However, we did hate on the Baja edition coming out later this year. Tacoma’s have always been priced higher than GM, and Ford, but hey you get what you pay for. Several companies put out great lifts for Toyota’s and one of our all time favorites is Total Chaos. Look for them to build a pretty sick lift for the 2012 Tacoma.
